High Holidays

The High Holy Days are a time for deep reflection, recommitment to our Jewish values, and spending time with family. Beth Abraham has many events that help individuals and families embrace the feeling of these special days and share the spirit of renewal. We hold services on Erev Rosh Hashanah, both mornings of Rosh Hashanah, as well as Kol Nidrei and throughout Yom Kippur day. Specific times for all services can be found on our calendar

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services will be streamed from our Synagogue, instead of regular services in the sanctuary. Although we will not be able to attend services in person, we will create memorable, rewarding, and impactful experiences that will meet the ritual and spiritual needs of all at this trying time. As one example, congregants will have the opportunity to sign up as individuals or as families to come into the sanctuary during the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at scheduled times, to offer personal prayers before the Ark in lieu of our tradition of doing so during Ne’ilah services. Arrangements are in the works to distribute High Holiday prayer books (machzorim) to everyone prior to Rosh Hashanah. Please review this page often as we make changes, add the High Holiday schedule, and provide more information so that all might have a meaningful experience throughout our High Holy Days.
