Beth Abraham welcomes Joey Weisenberg, founder of Hadar’s Rising Song Institute, for an experiential weekend of sound, song, and learning. Throughout Shabbat, we’ll explore how melodies can be inclusive, expansive, and build community. The weekend culminates on Sunday with the installation of our new rabbi, Rav Aubrey Glazer.

  • On Friday, August 25, join us at 5:30 pm for a spiritually uplifting and song-filled Kabbalat Shabbat service, followed by Shabbat dinner at Beth Abraham. Reservations required – $26 adults, $13 children 3-12, $75 family. Nigun Circle to follow.
RSVP/payment due by August 16 via this page or call the Beth Abraham office (937) 293-9520.
  • On Saturday, August 26, beginning with Shacharit at 9:30 am, we’ll have a song-filled service led by Joey. Following the service, join us for kiddush lunch and a learning session where we’ll explore what it means to be part of  a community of song, and how music can be part of personal, creative, and spiritual practice. No charge for kiddush lunch.
  • On Sunday, August 27 at 1:00 pm, Joey will combine original music with ancient prayer, musical virtuosity, and grassroots folksong as we officially install Rav Glazer.

RESERVATIONS CLOSE AT 5:00 PM ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16. Please call the office if you would like to be added to the waiting list.
