Welcome to Beth Abraham Synagogue, Dayton’s Only Conservative Synagogue

We are a welcoming congregation filled with the energy of Jewish renewal. Continuing a tradition of progressive Judaism that goes back more than a century, Beth Abraham Synagogue is located in the city of Oakwood near Dayton, Ohio. Our weekly Shabbat services are held in our brightly lit main sanctuary, while our daily minyan services are held online. Both our sanctuary and chapel feature beautiful stained glass images that were commissioned specifically for our synagogue, and add spiritual warmth to our services.

DAILY MINYAN

At this time we will not be meeting at Beth Abraham for daily minyan. However, you are welcome to join our virtual minyan Monday through Thursday at 5:30 pm. Using the Zoom mobile app, or on your computer, join with the link below.

As a general rule, there is no minyan on Federal holidays or Jewish holidays.

We invite families as well as all who are young at heart to join us for Rhythm ‘N’ Ruach. This music-filled Shabbat experience meets from 5:30-6:15 PM on the second Friday of each month. Join Cantor Raizen as we usher in Shabbat with songs, prayers, instruments, movement and more. Friends, parents, and grandparents are all welcome.

SHABBAT SERVICES

Shabbat Services are held on Saturday mornings at the synagogue, beginning at 9:30 am. We are streaming live on Streamspot on Saturday Mornings at 9:30.

The recorded services can be viewed anytime at the same url.

SOCIAL ACTION AT BETH ABRAHAM

Our current Social Action effort is reducing waste by collecting batteries to be recycled. Batteries are often thrown out, as recycling for them is not readily available. By making it easier to recycle them, we are reducing some of the chemical waste that would otherwise end up in the ground or in our water supplies.

We also provide canned goods and non-perishables to the Dayton Foodbank as an ongoing endeavor.
